A day exploring The Hague & Delft with our lovely guide Roos 💙 From hidden gems to fun stories along the way, Roos shared some of her favourite sides of both cities with us.

August is almost over, but luckily the sunshine is still here! 🌞

Guide Isis took our visitors along during a busy and lively week in Delft! With all the new TU Delft students arriving for their introduction week, Delft was buzzing with new faces, fun activities and many parties.

Summer days in Holland! 🌞 Did you know… that part of Rotterdam was once Delft?

Around 1389, Delft dug the river the Schie to connect the city with the Maas (see the second photo). As a result, the waterway expanded and a small settlement emerged: Delfshaven.
It was part of Delft for centuries, until Rotterdam took it over in 1886.

So, when you explore Delfshaven today, you are actually walking through a small piece of Delft history! 💙

We went on a food tour through Delft, tasting some delicious Dutch specialties!
Among our favorites are definitely a crispy bitterbal and the classic appeltaart (apple pie)!
