Adventures thru Life is a new company designed for coaching men and help them finding answers to whatever theme is relevant in their lives.
Gijs Anders van Straalen has been a professional musician for over 25 years and played with many artists around the world, on stage and in the studio. Besides his work as a performer, he also works as a gifted teacher for percussion, music theory and history. He noticed that music is often not so much about the notes, but about the energy it creates. Throughout the years he got more and more interested in the relationships between people and why we behave like we do. Experiencing upclose how the audience, students and fellow artists reacted to musical and non-musical events, certain themes seemed to come up every now and then. These would include for instance responsibilaty, intimacy, energy, playfullness and owning the music.
‘What if you replace the word ‘Music’ for the word ‘Life?’ was a question that came to mind. ‘If music makes the unspeakable of life hearable, than it could also be used to change and transform it’. It was his start of a long journey of learning about life, how the past works within people and through the depths of his soul.
