In de teen van de laars vindt u de regio Calabria. Geniet ook van de eenvoudige maar smaakvolle Calabriaanse keuken. Dorota Martinez.

Dit ongerepte en groene stukje Italië ontplooit zich meer en meer tot een unieke vakantiebestemming. U vindt hier eeuwenoude olijfboomgaarden, een woest berglandschap, maar ook met uitgestrekte bossen en pittoreske dorpjes. De Tyrrheense kust, wordt door haar witte stranden en helder blauwe zeewater zelfs één van de mooiste van Italië genoemd. Proef, voel en beleef het pure Italië in het ongerepte

en groene Calabrië. Wszystko to przez istnienie i szerokie działanie tamtejszej mafii - 'Ndranghety, która skutecznie odstrasza
potencjalnych inwestorów, zarówno włoskich jak i zagranicznych, oraz zmusza ludzi do współpracy z nią, stając się niemal jedynym pracodawcą w tym regionie. To smutne ponieważ ziemia ta jest niezwykle urodzajna, bogata w historię i tak niezwykle zróżnicowana pod względem geograficznym, klimatycznym i kulturowym. Świat nie ma pojęcia o bogactwie tej ziemi. Ludzie, którzy tam mieszkają nie zdaja sobie sprawy z tego co mają. Region ten powinien być najbogatszą częścią Włoch, a tym czasem bezrobocie dotyka tam 18% ludności! Ich włoskie zróbmy to "Domani" (jutro) w tym nie pomaga...Taką mają odpowiedź prawie na wszystko....



Calabria, the toe of the boot in southern Italy, has four mountain ranges - the Aspromonte, Pollino, Sila, and Serra - with some of the highest mountain peaks in Italy. Lush dense vegetation, clear water streams, lakes, and beautiful waterfalls grace these mountains, which are still perfectly wild and uncontaminated in many areas. The air is cooler here, of course, so a trip to the mountains on a hot summer day is a great relief. Walking, hiking, climbing, horseback riding, fishing, and biking are all viable activities in the Calabrian mountains. In the winter you can also cross country and downhill ski; the major ski areas are found in the Sila Grande. In Calabria esiste un tipo speciale di barca usata per la pesca al pesce spada chiamata “feluca.” Queste barche sono progettate con una torre di avvistamento alta, che permette ai pescatori di avvistare i pesci da lontano. È una tradizione antica tramandata da generazioni, ed è affascinante da vedere!
