We’d say we’re excited, but our boots have been waiting by the door for weeks.

It’s that time again: hut-to-hut season is around the corner. The last snow’s melting. Huts are stocking up. Someone out there is already rolling up their socks and laying out their gear. You?

⛰️ First mountain pass.
🛏️ First night in a hut.
☀️ First sun on your face.
🥾 First “oh yeah, this is why I should have trained” moment.

We wait all year for this.

The trails are calling. The coffee tastes better up there. Let's goooo!

Couple goals? ✅ Jane’s were all ticked off on the short Dolorama Weg. Beautiful trail for beautiful people—easy Alpine meadows, private rooms each night, and the Dolomites putting on a show.

Throwback: Auke and Romy picked the Alta Via del Granito for a few simple reasons: three days, away from the busy northern trails, and mountain huts that do the cooking for you. What they got was a quiet loop through the granite core of the Cima d’Asta, no phone reception, and plenty of time to just walk, talk, and sometimes say nothing.

This route doesn’t try to impress. It just is.
Three stages, each around 5 to 7 hours. Well-marked trails over old military paths. One high pass per day. A mountain lake that’s cold enough to make you think twice. And huts—Rifugio Caldenave and Rifugio Brentari—that serve proper meals and have blankets ready.

No big statements. Just a good hike, shared steps, and strong coffee, good wine at the huts. That is love. ❤️

Throwback: The Berliner Höhenweg doesn’t hand out rewards. You fight for them.

Days of scree, snow patches, and the kind of climbs that make your calves burn and your mind wander. Ninety kilometres, nearly seven thousand vertical metres, and barely a flat section in sight. It’s rockhard.

But then, just before the next hut, a glacial rock pool appears. Icy. Still. Waiting.

You drop your pack. Boots off. And in that freezing dip, it all makes sense.

In the Dolomites, things slow down just enough for the good stuff to catch up. One foot in front of the other, a friend by your side, the path winding through silence and stories. The kind of silence that says more than words ever could.

At the end of the day, there’s a plate of pasta, a glass of wine, and the people who made the blisters worth it. You laugh harder, breathe deeper, and somewhere between the huts, the jokes, and the views, you remember what it means to feel truly alive.

Marta is finishing the Langtang Valley Trek today. A week ago she set off into the Langtang National Park, passing through quiet forests, yak pastures, and small Tamang villages. Along the way, she spent a few days in Kyanjin Gompa, where she climbed up to Kyangjin Ri for a closer look at the Langtang peaks.

This trek doesn’t have the crowds of Everest or Annapurna, but the mountains are just as real.

2024 Throwback: Ruth Timmermans and her crew crushed the gnarly 3-day Adlerweg 🏔️🔥

Starting in Innsbruck, they tackled one of Tirol’s toughest short treks—think steep climbs, rocky ridges, and views that make your legs forget they’re burning. 🥵⛰️

Nights at the Pfeishütte and Hallerangerhaus brought well-earned rest (and probably Schnapps 🍻).

Girls rock. The Adlerweg didn’t stand a chance. 💪
