Exciting news for all wilderness lovers! Following careful review, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is thrilled to confirm that the Fish River Canyon hiking season officially opened on May 1, 2025! Your epic journey through one of Namibia’s most iconic natural wonders awaits.

This incredible 5-day / 4-night self-sufficient trek is known for being heavy – a true test of spirit and endurance. The best season to tackle this challenge is from May to September, offering cooler temperatures for your adventure.

Important Safety Update: While the route is deemed safe, water levels are currently higher than usual. NWR strongly advises all participants to either:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Great organization with a personal touch”

We had a wonderful campingtour trough Namibia and Botswana for 4 weeks. Varied with beautiful lodges.
We saw all the big animals, more than the big 5. Amazing. All de campsites en lodges had good facilities. We quickly felt at home and safe in each location. All the people were so nice. We did a lot, but also had moments of relaxation. African Trafels has shown us a lot of beautiful places. With a roadbook and much clearer information.
