The Efteling is an amusement park and recreation complex in Kaatsheuvel and is one of the oldest still open in the world: the Efteling nature park opened on May 11, 1951. On May 31, 1952, the Fairytale Forest also opened. The Efteling has been awarded various prizes and is the largest amusement park in the Benelux in terms of visitor numbers and surface area.

This is the Walburgis Church in Zutphen. The church dates from the 13th century and is one of the 10 largest and most beautiful churches in the Netherlands. It is built on the remains of a Romanesque church built in the 11th century.

These are some of Kinderdijk's world-famous 19 windmills. They were built around 1738 to move the water of the river Lek. In 1997 they were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Nowhere in the world can you see so many traditional windmills still working.

One of the many wooden houses in the city of Weesp. They are made of wood because they are in the so-called firing fields. In times of war they had to be able to be quickly dismantled to give the guns on the fortifications of Weesp a clear field of fire.

Thorn is a town in the province of Limburg and was granted city rights as early as the 13th century. It is known as the White Town because of its many white houses. In the French period, the windows were bricked shut against tax assessments. The houses were then whitewashed to hide construction traces.
