Beyond first impressions🫶
When you travel, are the locals in your destination extras in your holiday experience or potential new friends?
Do you bring your own food, or do you go all in and try everything in your path?

When you visit Havana, Cuba, you don’t want to miss an evening swirling the floor at Casa de la Música in Calle Galiano; Galiano street. They often have live bands on, creating the best atmosphere for salsa, bachata, Kizomba, the Cuba son, all the wonderful rhythms that rises your energy and pure life force!🔥
And if you «dont dance», you know, that is just a limiting belief you have decided to have at some point, for some reason… How was that decided? If that is the case, go take a class at Casa del Son in Old Havana; La Habana Vieja ❤️

A 13 hour stopover in Istanbul is enough to get out of the airport, find a bus and head in to town for some exploring!
I chose to go to Sultanahmet 😎
The bus that goes (almost) here leaves from platform 12 bottom level at Istanbul Airport, and you can pay the fare by card.
If there is traffic the journey takes about 1 hour to the closest stop to Sultanahmet. From there you can get on the subway - or just walk for about 15-20 minutes.
Then you are free to explore the old city, markets, shopping, the blue mosque, parks and alleys, and make sure to have some juicy kebab and strong Turkish coffee in one of the many restaurants!
Returning to the airport I took an Uber, that picked me up in the rain and got me back well in time for my connecting flight.
If you find yourself in Istanbul, Turkey, with a long stopover don’t hesitate to go out and treat yourself to a bonus adventure! 🤩🙏
