Lunch with a view. Luxury glacier tour to Styggevatnet.

Finding a location to set up a table and bench so close to the calving front of the glacier isn't easy...but's worth it. ("But's" should be a word)

The sun sets on Nigardsbrevatnet and the IceTrolls are off to Styggevatnet (pic 2)

Styggevatnet, 1,200m above sea level, is almost free of surface snow and ice from winter. The earliest we have started a season kayaking there, 12 June, the latest start on Styggevatnet, 9 August.
