For years, Canvas Telemark has been known for mountain biking. And riding will remain at the heart of what we do.

From 2027, Canvas enters a new chapter, with more ways to explore the same landscape. Alongside mountain biking, you can now come for trail running, hiking, paddling, or simply to slow down, enjoying our outdoor spa with hot tubs and sauna in the Norwegian wilderness.

At the heart of it all is the Canvas experience: yurts surrounded by nature, good food and long evenings around the fire.

Ride the slickrock. Run the ridges. Hike through the pines. Paddle the lake. Or come for the place itself.

On our Northern Lights and Whale Safari, Varg takes up to six guests into the winter fjords in search of orcas, humpback whales and northern lights.

Nature decides what we find. The crew follows the conditions, moving through the fjords to make the most of each day, and looking to the sky when darkness settles.

Back onboard, there are three guest cabins with ensuite bathrooms, Arctic Fusion meals, a sauna, hot tub and fireplace waiting after hours outside.

A small group. A moving base on the water. And Northern Norway in the middle of winter.

With Varg, the sea becomes the way in. Sail between islands and fjords, go ashore for the day’s hike, then return onboard for a sauna, a wood-fired hot tub and dinner while moving towards what comes next.

But it also takes you from fjord to trail, from sea level to the summit, and back onboard for a three-course dinner, sauna and the next anchorage.

Midnight sun is worth staying up for.

In Northern Norway, the sun does not set for weeks. Which means late hikes, slow evenings, and no real reason to go inside early. Truly a magical feeling.
