🇮🇹 Day 3: Today we have hiked in the Ossola valley and up to a village called Montecrestese. The valley skirts along the border to Switzerland 🇨🇭 and we could clearly see the mix of Italian and Swiss culture. Stunning landscapes surrounded us, and we even got to do some wine tasting after our hike! 🍷🧀🍷

🇮🇹 Day 2: Our hike started off in Cannero Riviera, just after our visit to a charming citrus 🍋 garden (see pics in previous post). The path was leading us through lush forest 🌳 until we reached the village of Oggiogno, which only had 16 inhabitants! Cute place with great views over Lago Maggiore. Then, we continued down to the next village of Donego where we had our packed lunch. The ☀️ was out today, and I wish I had brought my swimsuit so that I could go for a swim in the lake. Next time! 🏊🏼‍♀️ 😄

🇮🇹 Day 1: We are back in Italy (🤩) and today is our first day of hiking. We did a roundtrip hike from our hotel, which is located next to Lago Maggiore in Verbania, and up in the mountain until we reached the little village of Cavandone. We got a delicious pasta 🍝 for lunch, and with cake and coffee for dessert. Our hike continued back down to Verbania/ Pallanza after lunch. A bit of rain in the morning didn’t stop nobody, and it all cleared by midday! 💪🏼🥾🌸🌧️🌲

Ciao belli! 👋🏼😍

Here’s just a few more highlights from our 8 day Easter trip in Puglia, where we have visited Alberobello with its Trulli houses, the beautiful city of Locorotondo, the caves in Castellana, the great city of Lecce, learned how to make mozzarella and pasta, hiked along the coast, and last but not least - tasted some amazing food and wine.

A few pics from todays Guided X-Country Ski Tour north of Oslo, and in an area we call - which really just means “the north woods”. We went to the very north part of Nordmarka around Mylla. This is an area with more snow and usually better conditions than the southern parts around Frognerseteren etc. Not to mention there’s less people in the tracks, which makes it easier and less scary for beginners!
