Here's another place that inspires me... Wild Rumps books in Minneapolis. I HIGHLY recommend going if you're ever in the area. A delightfully imaginative bookstore chock full of books... and animals! "Our store's front doors open into a fairly conventional interior with carpet, a comfortable reading chair and floorlamp. Midway, things begin to change, there's a tree-trimmer sheetrocked in the ceiling on a ladder, and the ceiling itself at this point starts to crack open to the sky. At the back, with birds above and rats beneath a garden shed, the store wants you to feel like you're outside." You really do too! It's gorgeous inside, and you can pet many of the animals. Chase some cats or chickens around the store and pick up a new book at the same time!

I am inspired by places like Ye Olde Curiosity Shop in Seattle. Will definitely have to visit if we ever make it out there!

Spent some time working up a to-do list and creating a "product / inventory" wish list for the store I am likely to launch this year. Business One for Spookytown! Fingers crossed :) Dreaming is ALWAYS the easiest part of business!

It's been six months and I've made progress but at the same time feel like we haven't moved at all. The honest truth of the matter is that I am a heavy dreamer and over the years have moved without a lot of purpose or direction, just following whatever dream pulled me the strongest. I've ended up with some big messes to clean up as a result. The two biggest messes that really affect us starting a business are finances and home organization...

It's been a while. Spookytown remains a dream. One I'd like to see become a reality. Unfortunately it doesn't seem as if it's going to happen with Spirits Haunted Bar... at least, not at the location in Mount Carroll that we had our eyes on. In the end, it just didn't make financial sense...

uhhh... we will NOT be serving these at the bar. *blech!* I wonder why they decided to infuse them with APPLE? I can't imagine anything making it taste all that great...

Apple-infused horse semen shots might not be an obvious chaser to spring rolls, but they are causing a stir at the Green Man Pub where they are being served.

We made a website to help us earn money for Spirits... it's uploaded and live and great except for one little hitch. I made a paypal donate button for it and IT DOESN'T WORK. I made the site in iWeb, and the donation button shows up in iWeb, but when we upload it to the site, the spot where the donation button should be shows a 403 FORBIDDEN error. Any web gurus out there with advice on how to fix this?
