3rd of April
If you think my camera sensor was broken, well, no, it was not 😅
Last Friday I guided this little family out on an adventure of a lifetime. While the parents had seen some auroras before, their kid did not. But he also had never been over a frozen lake before!
And well, the show that Mother Nature gifted us with, was something I also considered spectacular, and definitely out of the ordinary. How many times have you seen photos of mine with such colours? Not many, right? 😃
This is the beauty of this time of the year, when the auroras can be of more purple and violet colours, due to a number of factors.
But there are less hours of darkness to witness them, so it is crucial to make sure you have clear sky when it matters 👌
It was meant to be fully clear sky far east in Finland, on that night, but in reality it was only clear by the border area, and further in there were unexpected clouds.
When I noticed them, I stopped at a safe distance, found a spot to stay and got camera etc ready right in time for the auroral show to begin. Right by the end of this massive display, the clouds were near to cover us overhead, but we escaped the worst 🙏
On the way back to Tromsø, two more auroral expansions happened, and I obviously stopped to make my guests admire and photograph both of them, in very different locations!
Scroll through all the photos, to see how different one night can be.
The very last photos are of an even calmer moment of deep connection with Nature and its meaningful elements 🙌
Talking about other things, yesterday was also my 10th anniversary of life in Norway 😱
And I almost forgot, hope you had a nice Easter today!
