Season’s first is ready, set and done this weekend💥

Two full groups having a blast learning about terrain, snow, rescue and decision making in the mountains. To get back home from skiing every time, and also find good snow and have fun times out in winter!
We even got some fresh pow to look at, learn about and set some fresh turns in⛷️😎

Last week we had some amazing northern lights blazzing across the sky here in Tromsø.
In the mountains and forest, in the city and the ski hill!
Such a wonderfull experience to ski underneath the magical aurora lights🐉🤩

We got new webpages!!

After a long process with creating new webpages and swapping over to a whole new booking system, we can finally announce that Tromsø Ski Guide’s new webpages are officially released and live!!🤩😃💥

We think they look super good, and hope you do as well. And now you can search directly for your favourite ski touring trip or course with us on the dates you want, and for the group size and trip duration you would like.

Everything got a new and modern feel and booking or requesting a specific tour should be super easy and convenient!😎🤓

While most people think ski season runs from February to May, in Tromsø we’re already enjoying powder turns from late October ❄️

You can go all in with a full-day adventure, starting with headlamps in the morning, or choose a half-day ski touring trip, where the daylight window is long enough to deliver truly big experiences.

Would you like to try ski touring? We would love to guide you through your first tour, and with us you are guaranteed clear and safe instruction all the way from the rental shop to the mountains.

Tromsø offers beautiful beginner-friendly terrain just outside the city. The hills capture the mesmerizing light and create the perfect setting for a wonderful outing in the snow.

Ski touring is a sport that grows in popularity every year, and many of our guests end up buying their own gear. Be careful - you might get hooked!

Are you ready for winter and ski touring or do you need to update your avalanche knowledge with one of our Avalanche courses this winter?

Get ready for ski touring and exploring with your friends by taking one of our Avalanche courses. You learn about terrain, snow, avalanche problems and how to behave and assess the mountains and situations we come into while ski touring. So you get back safe and avoid triggering an avalanche!

We hold Basic and Advanced Avalanche Courses, in English and Norwegian for groups up to six people.

✨ Meet Johannes Sand Bolstad ✨
Nortind Ski Guide student, NF Avalanche Instructor & UIMLA guide
Speaks 🇳🇴🇬🇧🇪🇸
Johannes is a passionate skier, sailor and adventurer. Loving to explore and protect our
beautiful natural surroundings, and share experiences in the mountains and at sea.
Johannes sees himself as a climate refugee, having moved from his childhood home in
southern Norway to the north to find persistent winters and spectacular scenery. After
more than ten years in the region he’s a real northerner at heart, based in Tromsø.
Having worked as a guide and skipper full time since 2019, in Norway, Svalbard,
Greenland and the Arctic, he has solid experience in the field.
In addition to guiding and holding avalanche courses for TSG this winter, he is having an
admin role at the “office” for TSG with webpages and social media.
Joining Johannes out skiing is a pleasure whether you just started touring or is a
seasoned powder hound. And his contagious laugh and smile will for sure enrichen the
experience 😄❄⛷
