Lukla Airport, officially known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport, is perched at an elevation of 2,845 meters (9,334 feet) in Nepal's Himalayas and serves as the primary gateway for trekkers heading to Mount Everest. Renowned as one of the world's most dangerous airports, it features a mere 527-meter (1,729-foot) runway with a steep 12% gradient, flanked by a cliff on one end and a mountain wall on the other, demanding exceptional pilot skill for takeoffs and landings. Constructed in 1964 under the guidance of Sir Edmund Hillary, the airport was renamed in 2008 to honor both Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first climbers to summit Everest.

Feeding a hungry mountain bird at Nangkartshang Peak, elevation over 5,075m, while Ama Dablam 6,812m (Mother's Necklace) looks magnificent in the backdrop! We hiked all the way up to this point for about 2.5 hrs from Dingboche 4,410m. The best view comes after the toughest climb! Fully agreed!

So many other hungry birds are waiting for us!!! Don't wanna feed them!

Day 8, April 28, 2025: Lobuche – Gorak Shep – EBC – Gorak Shep | Big Day, Big Achievement | Summits Adventurers conquered a dream summit!

The trek was incredibly tough with snow and wind, covering a long distance in a single day. Yet, despite the exhaustion, our adventurers were all smiles, radiating pride and joy after reaching one of the highest trekking goals—Everest Base Camp. A dream achieved, a summit conquered! 💪🥾🏔️🇳🇵🤝🇫🇷🇲🇽🥳🎉🏕️🌱🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

Acclimatization Day 6, April 26, 2025: Dingboche (4,410m) - Nangkartshang Viewpoint (5,075m | Everest Base Camp Trek

The EBC team hiked to Nangkartshang Peak on the acclimatization day. It was approximately 5.5 hrs round hike. Everyone is doing well so far.

Day 5, April 25, 2025: Tyangboche (3,860m) - Dingboche (4,410m) 11 km | Everest Base Camp Trek

The most iconic peak in the Everest region, Ama Dablam (6,812m) seen in the backdrop was a highlight of the day for our trekking clients. Needless to mention that every trekker falls in love with this peak as soon as they see it.

The EBC team wanted to enjoy some time on the riverbank so we did; making some stone pillars, taking amazing pictures and videos. Additionally, the adventure was not really tough except for the 30-45 minute last incline after the suspension bridge before our camp.

Best photos of the day! Everest Base Camp team smashed it again! Now, we are just 3 Camps away from reaching the summits. Everyone is doing well and filled with excitement and energy every day.

Late post!!! Day 1, April 21, 2025:

We had a thrilling and scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trekked further to Phakding. Lulu Hill and I (Bhim Raj Kulung Rai) surprised Ana Laura Carrillo with her birthday celebration where we bought a delicious cake to cut.

Thanks to Kongde Peak Guest House Lodge staff for your support and kind hospitality, delicious and hygienic food, and comfy accommodation. A top-notch service experience!
