Tourism Research and Training Institute (TRTI), in collaboration with Phikkal Rural Municipality, successfully established the National Sustainable Tourism Club (NSTC) at Shree Secondary School, Lumti–Phikkal, Sindhuli. The club formation event was held as part of a broader tourism awareness initiative and featured a tourism speech competition on the theme “Tourism Prospects in Phikkal.”
The program was graced by the presence of ward no 2 Chairperson of Phikkal Rural Municipality, as the Chief Guest. The event was chaired by the School Principal, Mr. Lekhnath Baral . Other distinguished guests included Mr. Ganesh Paudyal, Regional Coordinator of GTTP Nepal, and Ms. Kamala Chhetri, GTTP Nepal Curriculum Trainer.
During the program, Mr.Rajan Sarki, a student of Grade 9, was appointed as the Club Prefect of the newly formed NSTC.
The club aims to foster tourism awareness and promote sustainable tourism practices through a series of annual activities such as tourism speech and quiz competitions, tourism content writing, domestic tourism destination exploration and promotion, tourism rallies, awareness campaigns, and creative storytelling/blogging. These initiatives are expected to inspire students and the local community to actively participate in the development of responsible and sustainable tourism in Phikkal Rural Municipality.

Tourism Research and Training Institute (TRTI), in collaboration with Phikkal Rural Municipality, successfully established the National Sustainable Tourism Club (NSTC) at Shree Secondary School, Somnam Suntale Chandibhanjyang–Phikkal, Sindhuli. The club formation event was held as part of a broader tourism awareness initiative and featured a tourism speech competition on the theme “Tourism Prospects in Phikkal.”
The program was graced by the presence of ward no 2, Chairperson of Phikkal Rural Municipality, as the Chief Guest. The event was chaired by the School Principal, Mr.Tek Bdr.Thapa Magar . Other distinguished guests included Mr. Ganesh Paudyal, Regional Coordinator of GTTP Nepal, and Ms. Kamala Chhetri, GTTP Nepal Curriculum Trainer.
During the program, Ms. Sharmila Shrestha , a student of Grade 9, was appointed as the Club Prefect of the newly formed NSTC.

Tourism Research and Training Institute (TRTI), in collaboration with Phikkal Rural Municipality, has successfully established the National Sustainable Tourism Club (NSTC) at Shree Mahakali Secondary School,Poti khangsyang Bhanjyang 04,Phikkal Sindhuli. This significant initiative was undertaken as part of a wider tourism awareness program and featured a tourism speech competition on the theme “Tourism Prospects in Phikkal.”

The event was honored by the presence of ward no 04 Chairperson of Phikkal Rural Municipality, who served as the Chief Guest. The program was chaired by the school’s Principal Mr .Surya Prasad Pahadi and attended by other distinguished guests, including Mr. Madan Kumar Baral, Country Director of GTTP Nepal .

During the program, a student from Grade 10 Ms Tika Bhujel was appointed as the Club Prefect of the newly established NSTC.

Tourism Research and Training Institute (TRTI) successfully conducted a comprehensive feasibility study on the tourism potential of Phikkal Rural Municipality, Sindhuli. Today, the President of TRTI formally handed over the final report to the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and Administrative Officer of the municipality.

This report highlights the unique natural, cultural, and historical assets of Phikkal and outlines actionable recommendations to unlock sustainable tourism development in the region. We believe this document will serve as a foundational roadmap for the municipality’s long-term tourism planning and growth.

TRTI sincerely thanks the leadership of Phikkal Rural Municipality for their trust and collaboration in this important initiative. We look forward to continued partnership in fostering responsible and community-based tourism development in the region.

The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Parwati Sunuwar, Chairperson of Phikkal Rural Municipality, who served as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries in attendance included Mr. Raju Baral, Deputy Chairperson of the Municipality, and Mr. Dambar Bahadur Magar, Administrative Officer. TRTI/GTTP Nepal & Bachhauli National Sustainable Tourism Club (NSTC), in collaboration with Ratnanagar Municipality, Chitwan, successfully organized a comprehensive training program on Health, Hygiene, and Food Safety.

The primary objective of the training was to empower hoteliers with essential knowledge and practical skills to enhance cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in hospitality services—thereby fostering safer and cleaner experiences in Chitwan’s touriSafeTourismNepal was conducted by Mr. Satish Mishra, a distinguished instructor from the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). A total of 70 participants took part in the session, including 30 hoteliers and hospitality staff from renowned hotels such as Seven Star, Chitwan Riverside, Landmark, Green Park, Rainforest, Jungle Safari Lodge, Chitwan Forest Resort, Monalisha, Jungle Crown, Chitwan Gainda Lodge, Hotel Orchid, Rhino Lodge, Jungle Wildlife Camp, and Park Safari Hotel. Additionally, 40 students from the Bachhauli NSTC under Ratnanagar Municipality actively participated in the program.

The event was chaired by Mr. Ram Mani Khanal, President of the school, while Mr. Kiran Chaudhary, Chairman of Ward No. 6, Ratnanagar Municipality, graced the program as the Chief Guest.

This training marks the fourth initiative under TRTI’s “100 Destination-Focused Hospitality Training Program”, aimed at strengthening sustainable and responsible tourism practices across Nepal.
