Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) is one of Nepalโs oldest and most sacred UNESCO World Heritage Sites, located on a hill in Kathmandu. It is an important place for both Buddhists and Hindus. The temple is famous for its white stupa, the all-seeing Eyes of Buddha, panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley, and the many monkeys that live around it, which is why it is called the Monkey Temple. It symbolizes peace, wisdom, and harmony.
