Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest peak, lies on the border of Nepal and Sikkim State of India. The Name Kanchenjunga comes from Kha-Chen-Jung-Nga a native Tibetan Dialect referring The Five Great Crown Jewels. The native Lepcha people of Sikkim worship the mountain god with its mask worn during local festivals. In Nepal side, the peak is equally venerated by native Kirant people.

Not to surprise, the modern world has identified five distinct summits of the holy mountain namely – Kanchenjunga Central 8586 Meters, Yalung East 8505 Meters, Kanchenjunga South 8476 Meters, Yalung West 8077 Meters, Kangbachen 7903 Meters.

Three Jewels Adventures, a small team of local Nepali guides, have first time been able to organise a successful trek to this Gaint Mountain's North and South Base Camps. Adventure Guide Pema Tamang Heading to Great Himalaya Trail GHT's Far West (Nepal) Section.

This is her first phase of the 120 day's long trek that will cover Hilsa - Limi Valley - Rara and Hopefully Phoksundo of Dolpo.

Tiji Festival is a traditional festival of Lo People that takes place at Lomanthan, the capital of once an independent kingdom of Mustang Himalaya.
