We are saddened to announce the untimely demise of our beloved teacher Mr. Rigzin Dorjee Lama who left us this morning around 4:15 am due to cardiorespiratory arrest. He was just 53. He was the first person from Tarap (and Dolpo) to complete SLC and return to work as a teacher. He has been working for over twenty years at Crystal Mountain School from its founding phase in 1994 until he breathed last on January 7, 2017. Today, his dedicated work has produced a critical mass of qualified youths who are taking on the responsibilities he has passed on. His sincere, diligent, dedicated and life-long service to the people of Dolpo is a constant source of inspiration and will remain deep in the memories of those of us who had the fortune to benefit from his love and wisdom. We, at Vision Dolpo, express our deepest gratitude for his service and please join us to pray for his swift rebirth. OM MANI PADME HUM
