Namaste and warm greetings!

On the occasion of “Ashar Pandra”, we would kindly invite you to participate in our “Rice Planting Promotional Event” which is going to be held on 29 June 2013, Saturday in Dhulikhel. The main objective of this event is to promote agro-tourism and inform the wider public about traditional agricultural practices in Nepal.

The rice planting is a fascinating and one of the important events for the farmer’s in Nepal celebrated every year with the desires for producing more crops. In this event, you will all get a chance to participate with the locals to plow and plant rice on the rice field, with the locals performing folk songs. The cost per person for the event is 1000 NPR including transportation and lunch. We sincerely hope that you and your friends will attend this event.

Our activities mainly focus on promoting community-based tourism, which in turn will stimulate local economy. Besides these, we work with local communities for the sustainable tourism development, conservation of the environment, use of alternative energy, organic farming, management of solid waste and many more.

Program Details:
9:00 am: Departure from Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to Dhulikhel by bus

10:30 am: Rice planting program (light snacks will be provided – Curd & bitten rice)

2:00 pm: Lunch at hotel

3:30 pm: Return back to Kathmandu

Centuries-old dirt road and trails offer a chance to go on extended trips to exotic locales like Annapurna and Kanchenjunga areas. 21 to 27 gear bicycles are recommended when riding through Himalayan terrain.Mountain bikes are available for rent at numerous bicycle rental outlets in and around Kathmandu or Pokhara.
