We recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek, and it was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. From the very beginning, the journey was filled with excitement, anticipation, and a sense of adventure that only grew stronger with each step.

The trek took us through beautiful Sherpa villages, dense forests of rhododendron, and across suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags. As we gained altitude, the landscape changed dramatically—green hills gave way to rocky terrain, glaciers, and towering snow-covered peaks. Every day brought new challenges, but also incredible views that made every effort worthwhile.

We Did the Manaslu Circuit Trek in the Monsoon Season

Trekking the Manaslu Circuit in the monsoon season was an unforgettable adventure. While most choose the drier months, we embraced the rains — and discovered a quieter, greener Himalaya.

The lower valleys were bursting with life: rice terraces glowed neon green, waterfalls crashed down the cliffs, and the trails were wrapped in mist and mystery. Rain was a constant companion, turning paths into mudslides and rivers into challenging crossings. Leeches added to the wildness, but the solitude and raw beauty made it all worthwhile.

We saw few other trekkers, which made the journey feel even more remote. The tea houses were quiet and cozy, and the locals more welcoming than ever. Every clearing in the clouds offered dramatic glimpses of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks — fleeting, magical moments that felt well-earned.

Crossing Larke Pass in fog and snow was tough but rewarding. The descent into Bimthang, with sunlight finally breaking through, felt like stepping into another world.

The monsoon brought challenges, but also a rare kind of peace. We came for a trek — we left with an experience that felt truly wild, raw, and real.

We recently completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek, and it was an unforgettable journey around one of Nepal’s most stunning Himalayan regions. Starting from Soti Khola, the trail gradually led us through lush forests, terraced fields, and charming Gurung villages before climbing higher into the rugged landscapes of the Manaslu Conservation Area.

Each day brought new experiences—crossing suspension bridges over roaring rivers, walking through narrow gorges, and witnessing spectacular views of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m / 26,781 ft), the eighth-highest peak in the world. We also enjoyed the rich cultural encounters with Tibetan-influenced communities, ancient monasteries, and warm village hospitality.

The highlight of the trek was crossing the Larkya La Pass (5,106 m / 16,752 ft), a challenging but rewarding climb that offered breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas. The sense of achievement at the top was truly special.

This trek gave us adventure, culture, and nature all in one, and we highly recommend the Manaslu Circuit for anyone seeking an authentic Himalayan trekking experience.
