Most people on the EBC trail walk past the turnoff to Gokyo. That's the valley on the left.

Five glacial lakes. The largest glacier in Nepal. A ridgeline with four 8,000m peaks in frame. Quieter, harder to reach, harder to leave.

Five days in the valley. This is what it looks like.

DM us GOKYO for the full circuit itinerary.

Nepal just picked up two UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards, and both sites are worth knowing about.

Jestha Varna Mahavihara, Lalitpur: a 17th-century Newar Buddhist vihara, carefully restored after earthquake damage, with daily rituals continuing throughout the entire conservation process. Living heritage, not a relic.

Lowo Nyiphug Monastery, Mustang: a 500-year-old monastery built by monks in the Upper Mustang valley, recognised for sustainable development. The local monastic community led the technical restoration themselves using traditional construction knowledge. One of the most remote and striking places in all of Nepal.

Nepal doesn't just trek. It preserves.

Most people walk the Annapurna Circuit. We rode it.

River gorges, pine forest descents, loose gravel climbs, wooden bridges barely wide enough for the handlebars. The Himalayas filling every gap in the treeline. At altitude your lungs know the difference between a trail and a mountain. On a bike, you feel every meter of it.

This is not a route for everyone. But if it is for you, DM us BIKE and we will tell you what to expect.

The Marsyangdi River follows you the whole way through Annapurna Circuit.

Glacial blue, loud, relentless. You walk beside it for days through pine valleys before the landscape opens into something bigger. This is the lower section before the altitude kicks in and the real Himalayas come into view.

Most people rush this part. Don't.

DM us AC to get the full route breakdown.

5,364 meters. You're standing at Everest Base Camp, and that white peak filling your screen is the summit.

Most people see Everest in photos. A few thousand each year see it like this.

14 days from Kathmandu. Spring and autumn departures open now.

DM us EBC to get the full trip details.

Sacred ground of ancient history

At Tilaurakot Kapilavastu in Kapilvastu, archaeologists have uncovered Nepal’s first apsidal Buddhist temple inside what is believed to be the ancient palace city linked to the early life of Gautama Buddha.

This site is considered one of the best preserved early historic cities in South Asia, dating back over 2500 years. Every brick here connects Nepal to the origins of Buddhism and a civilization that shaped world history.

Nepal is not only home to the Himalayas, it is home to history itself 🇳🇵
