Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary
🗓 Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m) and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Guided sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley – Duration: 4–5 hours.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,804m) and trek to Phakding (2,640m) – Duration: 4–5 hours.
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – Duration: 5–6 hours.
Day 5: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (hike to Everest View Hotel) – Duration: 3–4 hours.
Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,870m) – Duration: 5–6 hours.
Day 7: Trek to Dingboche (4,460m) – Duration: 5–6 hours.
Day 8: Acclimatization hike to Chhukung Valley (4,730m) – Duration: 4–5 hours.
Day 9: Trek to Lobuche (4,900m) – Duration: 5–6 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep (5,180m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m), and overnight at Gorakshep – Duration: 7–8 hours.
Day 11: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m) for sunrise views, then trek to Pangboche (3,900m) – Duration: 7–9 hours.
Day 12: Trek back to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – Duration: 5–6 hours.
Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2,804m) – Duration: 6–7 hours.
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu (approx. 30-minute flight).
Day 15: Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for departure.

Airport transfers by private car/jeep.
Three nights’ standard twin-sharing hotel accommodation in Kathmandu with breakfast.
Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the trek.
Fresh fruit served every evening after dinner.
Accommodation in trekking lodges (tea houses) during the trek.
All necessary permits: Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality fees.
Domestic flights: Kathmandu–Lukla–Kathmandu (via Ramechhap if applicable), including private airport transfers and domestic airport taxes.
Experienced, knowledgeable, and licensed English-speaking trekking guide with full salary, meals, accommodation, transport, and insurance.
Helpful porter (1 porter for 2 trekkers) with appropriate trekking gear, full salary, meals, accommodation, and insurance.
Comprehensive first-aid kit.
Coordination of emergency helicopter evacuation (covered by your travel insurance).
Use of sleeping bag, down jacket, duffel bag, and trekking poles (to be returned after the trek).
Guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu in a private vehicle.
Trek completion certificate.
Twice-daily health monitoring using an oxygen saturation meter to check for signs of altitude sickness.
Assistant guide for groups of 8 or more trekkers.
All government taxes and official service charges.

Nepal entry visa fee (obtainable on arrival):

All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including tea/coffee, hot chocolate, mineral water, hot water, and extra snacks during the trek.
Desserts such as cake, chocolate, pudding, and other sweet items.
Hot showers and battery/device charging at tea houses.
Tips for the guide, porters, and driver (tipping is customary and appreciated).
Entrance fees for monuments during the Kathmandu sightseeing tour (approx. USD 30 per person).
Excess baggage charges for the Lukla flight (limit: 10 kg per person).
Any additional costs due to early return from the trek (e.g., hotel and meals in Kathmandu), which are non-refundable
