Nepal Yantra Shala Energy (NYSE) is well-known name in Nepal for its reliable and efficient turbine manufacturing and fabrications. NYSE was established in 1976 under the name of Nepal Yantra Shala as a partnership business, with the financial assistance from Nepal Bank Limited. In 1995 one of the partners Late Shyam Raj Pradhan took over the company and started business under current name Nepal Y

antra Shala Energy as a sole proprietorship business. Today NYSE is able to keep its name high as one of the leading turbine manufacturer in Nepal. The proprietor of this company was the first person to design and build the propeller turbine in 1962 while working with the Swiss technicians in Balaju Yantra Shala. Since then it has come a long way in the field turbine manufacturing and fabrication. Today NYSE is capable to manufacture different types of turbine like Crossflow, Pelton, Peltric sets and MPPU. It accumulates the capacity to build the turbine from the range of 200 watts to 250kW and hydro power equipment’s up to 2 MW. NYSE is continuously trying its level best in its quest for the latest technology to achieve the best efficiency. For the same reason, NYSE was the first to built T-15 in 2002, in Nepal, with the licence purchased from Entec AG, Switzerland. Designers of T-15 claim that it has best efficiency of 78%. In order to satisfy ourselves in 2008, the Peltric set manufactured in NYSE was tested in Test Lab of Luzern, Switzerland and was found 78% efficiency which is far more better than other companies in Nepal. At present, the Company employs 31 full time staffs including engineers, surveyor’s administrative staffs and workshop staffs, beside these, temporary workers are hired and resource staffs are consulted whenever necessary. The present condition of Nepal Yantra Shala Energy is in fact culmination of 35 years experiences in the field of turbine manufacturing and fabrication. Till date it has manufactured more the 100's of turbines in different parts of Nepal. Besides these, it has also exported the turbines to Bhutan, Pakistan, India, UK. Recently, company had supplied a 40kW turbine (complete electro-mechanical Equipment’s) to Laos. NYSE also carried out its Installation and testing and its now operating successfully and generating 40Kw. NYSE strongly believes that, for the better cause it needs to transfer its knowledge, for this very reason NYSE conducted T-12 turbine manufacturing training program in Kenya for 12 Engineers and Technicians from 3 different countries: Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The program was sponsored by ITDG and was held at Jomo Kenyata University, Kenya for 7 weeks.
