What is G*i Jatra? 🐄

G*i Jatra, or the ‘Festival of Cows,’ is celebrated every year in Nepal 🇳🇵 to honor those who have passed away in the past year. Families join colorful processions through the streets 🎉, often leading cows or young children dressed as cows, as it is believed the sacred animal helps guide souls to the afterlife ✨. Ever thought about walking to one of the world’s highest freshwater lakes? Not by car, not by helicopter..... just you, your boots, and some yaks for company.

🌸 Best Season: March to May & September to November (No monsoon surprises, clear skies, perfect reflections)
🗺️ Route: Lukla → Namche Bazaar → Dole → Machhermo → Gokyo
💪 Difficulty: Moderate (it’s more about patience than power)
