**Annapurna Base Camp Trek: A Six-Day Journey**
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek is one of Nepal's most popular trails, renowned for its awe-inspiring views of the Himalayan peaks, including the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). Our six-day adventure was a perfect mix of challenge, stunning scenery, and unforgettable experiences.
Our journey began with a drive from Pokhara to Jhinu Danda, followed by a three-hour uphill hike to Chhomrong, a picturesque Gurung village nestled in the hills. The trail was clearly marked and relatively easy, providing a gentle start to the trek. We took our time, appreciating the lush greenery and sweeping vistas along the way.
We arrived in Chhomrong around 5 PM, just in time to witness a stunning sunset over the surrounding mountains. After checking into our teahouse, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and were treated to a traditional Nepali dhori program—a night of lively singing and dancing. It was a fantastic way to end our first day, setting the tone for the days ahead.
After a satisfying breakfast, we continued our trek toward Dovan. The trail led us through the charming village of Sinuwa, dense bamboo forests, and past waterfalls, with the sounds of birds and rustling leaves adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The forested path was a welcome change, providing shade and a serene environment. We stopped at Bamboo for a rest and snacks, taking in the natural beauty of the region. By 4 PM, we arrived in Dovan, where we relaxed and enjoyed a cozy evening with our group.
The third day was one of the most challenging but rewarding segments of the trek. We started early, as the hike to Machapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) was expected to take 9–10 hours. One member of our group needed to go at a slower pace, so we adjusted our speed to make sure everyone was comfortable.
As we ascended, the trail grew steeper, but the views were magnificent. Towering peaks surrounded us, and the air became cooler and fresher. We reached MBC by 6 PM, just in time for a breathtaking sunset, with the mountains bathed in golden hues. After dinner, we retired early, knowing we had an exciting day ahead.
We woke up at 4 AM to catch the sunrise at ABC. The hike from MBC to ABC was short but steep, and the anticipation kept us moving forward.
When the first rays of sunlight touched the snow-covered peaks, we were mesmerized by the panoramic view. Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, and other towering peaks glowed in golden light—a truly unforgettable sight. After taking it all in, we descended to MBC for breakfast and then began our journey back to Dovan.
The return leg of the trek was filled with laughter and reflection on the adventure. We retraced our steps through Bamboo and Sinuwa before reaching Jhinu Danda. The hot springs at Jhinu were a welcome treat for our weary muscles, and we spent the evening relaxing and sharing stories.
On our final day, we took a leisurely walk back to the trailhead, where we caught a ride back to Pokhara. The trek had been a remarkable experience, and as we returned to the comforts of civilization, we carried with us memories of breathtaking landscapes, warm hospitality, and the joy of reaching ABC.The most unforgettable moments in my life .This trek is truly the best of my entire trekking experiences. And this will be the most memorable trek of my life.
The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a once-in-a-lifetime journey, offering a blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty that leaves a lasting impression.
