It was a pleasure meeting Agam Rinjani at Indofest.

Agam is an experienced mountain guide, porter, and rescue volunteer from Indonesia who gained international recognition for his courageous rescue efforts on Mount Rinjani. Having climbed Rinjani hundreds of times and participated in numerous rescue missions, his dedication to mountain safety and helping others is truly inspiring.

What made us even happier was hearing that Nepal has captured his heart and that he plans to trek to Everest Base Camp and explore more of our beautiful Himalayas.

At this event, we’re excited to share a side of Nepal that often goes beyond the Himalayas—our living culture, welcoming communities, and the everyday beauty of village life.

Through our work with Barang Village Community Homestay and Himalayan Journey, we focus on community-based tourism that creates real connections between travelers and local communities. Our goal is simple: make tourism more meaningful and more beneficial for the people who host it.
