Thinking of what to get for Father’s Day? Swensen’s new Halo Daddy Ice Cream Cake might be a good contender. Cake is great, but ice-cream cake is next level!

Made with zero-sugar-added ice cream, the layers of Sticky Chewy Chocolate Zer0 and Hazelnut Zer0 come together really nicely. I found the hazelnut flavour to be distinct and very pleasant. It was indulgence but with less guilt as each slice comes under 100 kcal. I can see this appealing to the older generation who might prefer desserts that aren’t too sweet.

Available at all Swensen’s outlets from 26 May to 21 July 2026 while last — and pre-orders are probably a good idea for Father’s Day weekend.

The theme is Hong Kong / Cantonese favourites. My favourite dish of the day was the Marmite Chicken. We sat next to the buffet line and zoomed for it the minute the chef brought them out!

Did you know it’s possible to get authentic Swiss cuisine in Singapore? This is one of but a handful of places where you can taste cheese fondue, in addition to other Swiss favourites like Rosti and Cheese Raclette. But wait, I have to mention this humble Curly Salad with “Grand-Pere” dressing. So crisp and delicate at the same time, how did they achieve this? The Magnifique Faux-Filet de Boeuf was magnifique, and we ended off with the Toblerone Creme Brulee which reminded us of chocolate mousse.
