Two very different ways to spend a few days in South Australia, whichever pace suits you best.

Slow right down in the Barossa Valley, based at the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort where every room opens onto its own balcony over the vineyards. A 3 day car hire from Adelaide Airport gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace, with a guided tasting at Seppeltsfield's 1888 Gravity Flow Winery among century-old bush vines, and quaint villages, restaurants and galleries to wander through in your own time. From $1,149pp double share, travel dates 15 January to 4 March 2027.

Or cruise the mighty Murray River in style aboard the PS Murray Princess, the largest inland paddle-wheeler in the Southern Hemisphere, spending four nights watching wombats, kangaroos and pelicans drift past the riverbanks. A guided boardwalk takes you through Aboriginal rock art at Ngaut Ngaut, and a proper woolshed show and riverside bush barbecue round out the days, with every meal freshly cooked for you and entertainment once the sun goes down. From $2,999pp twin share, departing 18 January 2027, other dates available at a seasonal surcharge.

If either of these sounds like your kind of trip, send me a message and let's plan it out together.

Tcs: Based on select departure, other dates available at a seasonal surcharge. Sale valid to 20 Sep 2026. Airfares are additional. Booking and service fees may apply. Additional T&Cs may apply.

No crowds. No queue for the sighting. Just a herd of elephants at the watering hole, and this wasn't even on a game drive.

Game drives are still the heart of a safari, and the right guide makes all the difference. But the choice of camp matters just as much, and it's often what people remember most.

A camp built around a waterhole means the wildlife comes to you between drives: over breakfast, in the quiet of the afternoon, as the light drops in the evening.

It's a different rhythm to the day, and often the moment people talk about long after the trip ends. The buffalo walking through the camp kitchen, the baby elephant drinking out of the pool, the cheeky meerkats visiting for a meal....

It's part of why the camp you choose is never just where you sleep between drives.

If you think a safari is about ticking off the Big Five, wait until a lion's roar shakes your whole tent at 2am. That's the moment people actually come home talking about.

Africa's real luxury isn't the five-star finishes. It's the exclusivity of a handful of vehicles instead of twenty jostling for the same shot.

It's canvas and lantern light instead of a lobby. It's the wide, quiet expanse of the plains, and getting close enough to nature to feel it, not just photograph it.

As someone who specialises in fully supported, accessible travel, I make sure that wonder doesn't come with hidden hurdles. Pace, mobility and comfort all thought through before you land.

If travel has ever felt like it wasn't built for you, you want to read this.

Hidden disabilities are common, but most travel systems are still one-size-fits-all. Autism, ADHD, anxiety, chronic pain, sensory sensitivities, they're all real reasons to plan a trip differently, even when nothing looks different from the outside.

I help families and individuals find the right support, from pre-boarding to sensory-friendly stays, so travel feels possible again.

No long-haul flights required. 🚂🦒

The Ghan takes you from Darwin to Adelaide through the Top End, the Red Centre and the outback, one of those journeys where the train is the experience.

Cruise through ancient Nitmiluk Gorge, wander Alice Springs and the underground town of Coober Pedy, all with meals and off train experiences included.

Then the journey keeps going. Two nights at Monarto Safari Resort, with an after-hours Safari Truck experience bringing you close to rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs and zebras as the light drops, all transfers are taken care of.

If slow, unhurried travel with nothing left to plan sounds like your kind of trip, this is exactly that.

If you have any questions about mobility, pace or support along the way, I'm always happy to talk it through and if you would like to further extend this can be fully tailored to your needs.

It will suit the mature traveller, ticking off the bucket list while they're fit and able to enjoy it, for anyone who loves the idea of slow, unhurried travel over rushing between airports. And it is also perfect for solo travellers who'd rather not handle the logistics alone, with the Gold Twin Sole Occupancy option meaning you get the cabin to yourself without paying for a companion who isn't there.

Nothing makes my day like hearing this from a client. This is exactly why I do what I do. Every trip I plan starts with really listening, because your holiday should feel like it was made for you, not just booked for you. 💛

A year on from my own Ireland trip, here's what I now tell every client.

Ireland isn't a place to rush through in a week, any more than you'd try to see all of New Zealand that fast.

Slow down instead.

Self-drive your own boat along the River Shannon, no license needed.

Stop for a traditional seaweed bath along the Wild Atlantic Highway.

Let an evening turn into a seisiún, singing and dancing with people you only just met.

And give the food its own time too, food tours, fresh oysters, and dinners in castles that take real pride in it.

If you're ready to slow down and experience Ireland properly, send me a message and let's start planning.

If you've ever wanted a trip that feeds your curiosity as much as your sense of adventure, this is worth a look.

Ponant's 12-day Antarctic voyage aboard Le Lyrial is done in partnership with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, so instead of just sailing past the scenery, you're sitting in on real conversations with WHOI scientists about Antarctica's role in the global ocean system and the discoveries still being made there.

It's expedition travel with genuine substance behind it, not just ice and photo stops.

For travellers who want their adventures to actually teach them something, this is about as good as it gets.

Le Lyrial is also a small, comfortable expedition ship, which matters when you want fewer crowds and an easier pace than a typical Antarctic cruise.

If this sounds like the kind of trip you've been waiting for, contact me today and let's start planning your expedition to Antarctica.

Some of us still love the old school "no signal for 12 hours" out of office. Others can't wait to log on the second it's available.

Travelling to Fiji with a disability can come with its own set of challenges, and that's exactly what I plan around. 🌺

One resort I recommend often is Shangri-La Yanuca Island. It sits on a private 109-acre island along Fiji's Coral Coast, connected to the mainland by a causeway, so there's no boat transfer to worry about getting there. Once you're on site, wheelchair-friendly pathways and accessible public areas make it easy to get to the restaurants, pools, gardens and beachfront.

There are also selected ground-floor rooms designed with accessibility in mind, with features like walk-in showers, support railings and more spacious layouts for easier movement.

🌺 Return Economy Airfares (The Works) flying Air New Zealand to Nadi from Auckland
🏝️5 nights at Shangri-La Yanuca Island (4 star) in a Yanuca Lagoon Deluxe Room
🍽️ Breakfast daily, plus return coach transfer

From $2,549pp, twin share*
Travel dates: 23 Jan - 16 Mar 2027

Accessibility isn't an upgrade, it's part of the journey. If you'd love to experience Fiji but aren't sure it's possible for you, let's talk it through together.

Tcs: Airfares are based on return Economy class fares (The Works) flying Air New Zealand. A surcharge of NZD10 applies to travel on Friday-Sunday in both directions. Room rates are dynamic providing the best rate of the day dependent on current inventory as such these are subject to availability & change without notice.
