If you haven't visited Tiritiri Matangi Island then you need to have this on your list for the summer!

Just over an hour from Auckland, or 25 minutes from Gulf Harbour, this beautiful island sanctuary is home to a unrivalled range of native flora and fauna and one of the most successful community-led conservation projects in the world!

You can discover the island via a variety of established walking tracks - come and immerse yourself in birdsong while meandering through native bush, take in the spectacular views from the very top of the island by New Zealand's oldest working lighthouse and be sure to finish your day of exploring with a refreshing dip down at Hobbs Beach.

Join us on Saturday for a special opportunity to meet this beautiful kiwi chick up close before the team from Rotoroa Island NZ and Save the Kiwi NZ release Waiwaiā at their new home on this predator-free island sanctuary and safe haven.
