We started our hike to Roy’s Peak at 3:40 a.m. in total darkness, chasing one of the most breathtaking sunrises in Wanaka, New Zealand.

The Roy’s Peak Track is about 16 km return with an elevation gain of 1,200 meters. It’s a steady climb, but every step rewards you with stunning views of Lake Wanaka, Mount Aspiring, and the snowcapped Southern Alps.

Many hikers stop at the viewpoint, but we pushed on to reach the summit by 7:00 a.m., just as the golden light covered the ridgeline.

This video captures the calm, the climb, and the beauty of the journey, a reminder that sometimes, the best views come after the hardest trails.

From Lindis Pass to Wanaka | Lavender Farm & That Famous Wanaka Tree

A scenic road trip through New Zealand’s South Island from the breathtaking views of Lindis Pass all the way to the peaceful town of Wanaka.

We stopped by the Wanaka Lavender Farm, met some friendly animals, and ended the day by the lake with the iconic That Wanaka Tree. The drive was filled with golden hills, calm roads, and incredible landscapes that show just how beautiful this part of New Zealand is.

The Otira Valley Track in Arthur’s Pass National Park, leading up to the Otira Valley Headwall below Mt Rolleston. This track takes you deep into a glacial valley, surrounded by towering peaks, waterfalls, and rocky terrain.

Hike to the summit of Ben Lomond (1,748 m above sea level) in Queenstown, New Zealand. 🌄

We started the climb via the Tiki Trail, which winds steeply through the forest up to the Skyline station. From there, We continued past the saddle and pushed on to the Ben Lomond summit for breathtaking 360° views over Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, and the Southern Alps.
