Ian and his wife have been enjoying a 12 day Viking ‘Pharaohs & Pyramids’ River Cruisetour in Egypt over Christmas and New Year aboard their lovely new river cruise ship Viking Sobek. The highlights included the spectacular new Grand Egyptian Museum, a drink in the bar of the famous Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan and the extraordinary temples of Abu Simbel and Edfu.

Peter had the chance to experience Seminyak, Bali, during the September school holidays. A first for his family and wanted to see how it stacked up as a family holiday destination with teenage girls. Wow - it did not disappoint.

From beach days with sunbeds and boogie boards, to lazy pool mornings at the villa, to dinners at a new restaurant every night – it was the perfect mix of chill and adventure.

Highlights? A day at Bali Waterbom, exploring local temples, catching the sunset, and of course, ending each night with shopping + ice cream.
