Looking forward to Gordonton Country Market tomorrow. As well as the usual suspects I have some absolutely gorgeous vintage sewing patterns from '60s to 90's. Come and meet some of our sweet Japanese quail - I still have some of this season's girls for sale who are happy to be kept in a rabbit hutch or similar and will provide lots of tasty eggs. I have set up a 'quail tractor' in my veggie garden recently and they are happily eating the weeds, turning the soil and fertilising the garden. Message Eggs will also be on sale for $10 - normally $15! See you there ...

Another lovely day at https://www.facebook.com/GordontonCountryMarket on Saturday. These girls enjoyed the outing - two of them were in that basket from my last post... We have a number of this season's quail which are laying and ready for new homes. They are easy to keep and make fantastic pets.

A whole lot of cuteness hatched over the past 24 hours....

The last hatch are now 4 weeks old and have just moved outside, so I will be in touch with those of you who ordered quail at the last Gordonton Country Market shortly to arrange collection. The hens will be starting to lay in the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Pepper (one of our Pekin Bantams) has some new arrivals ... 3 Barnevelder and 3 Barred Rock chicks hatched yesterday. They are lumbering giants compared with baby quail. She is such a good mum - remember the ducklings (Pepplings) and quail she hatched last season?

Some of our laying quail might come with me to the Gordonton Country Market next Saturday. I will have a few dozen fresh quail eggs for sale too. Come and see us if you are interested in keeping some of these amazing little birds at home - we will have babies ready for new homes in a couple of weeks, and more chicks hatching throughout spring and summer.
