We recently set up camp in Te Kaha and used it as our launching pad for some serious East Cape exploring. We left the van tucked away at our beachside base and jumped in the 4WD to head up the Kereu River.
​The Mission: 4WD river access to reach the untouched upper reaches, followed by a crystal-clear kayak drift downstream right into the local swimming holes. 💦
