Director, Pascal was the Wellington Manager for a large multi national air conditioning company for 8 years, giving him extensive insight into commercial air conditioning design and build. Pascal is a refrigeration engineer by trade (holding an Advanced Trade Certificate in Refrigeration), is IQP registered and holds an EST Electrical Ticket. This experience gives Smart Air an incredible insight into all facets of the heat pump and air conditioning industry. We can meet all requirements for both commercial and residential clients, and can also provide portable air conditioner supply, set up and installation (this is a rental service). I had to drop something off for the team as they worked on this ducted heatpump install - great to see the job in progress. They were all in the ceiling when I arrived so hard at work!
When the job is done, all you'll see is the ducts in the ceiling like the last photo!

This home now has an underfloor ducted heatpump which is a great way to heat and cool multiple rooms while keeping the system neatly tucked away out of sight.

With the ducting hidden under the floor, you get even, comfortable temperatures throughout the home without having indoor units taking up wall space.

Nice little Mitsubishi floor console here, these are great if heating is the main requirement or wall space is limited. Because warm air naturally rises, having the heat source low down can be advantageous for getting warmth into the occupied part of the room.

It's that time of year when the nights will be lighter - a signal of the beginning (we hope) of warmer weather.
A lot of our appliances automatically update these days as they are wifi enabled but in some cases your heatpump can still need to have the time changed, like your analog watch, or oven.

So remember to turn your appliances one hour forward when you go to bed on Saturday night!

This couple had decided to convert to electric ducted heating. There isn't much to see inside with a ducted unit (except the ceiling grilles in each upstairs room) as the indoor unit is hidden usually in the ceiling or sometimes underfloor. Downstairs we were able to re-use the floor grilles from the previous heating system which was a bonus.

Another tidy install completed, with two hi-wall heat pumps fitted to keep different areas of the home comfortable all year round.

Having the right-sized unit in each space means efficient heating and cooling where you need it without trying to make one heat pump do the job of two.
