NZ Motorhome Travel Group ( NZMTG ) is a independent fun travel group that caters for Motorhome & Caravan owners that like to attend social events we hold all though out the year. We hold our own NZMTG events that are all about having fun with lots of laughter along the way. We listen to our members to what events they would like to attend and make it happen, its that easy !!. We cater for all the family at our events along with the pets also, as they are part of the family.

With so many of our NZMTG members having custom cars and hot rods, this was how www.thunderhop.co.nz was started.

We hold social weekend and limit the numbers to make it more fun and social, because that's what our members want.

NZMTG beach hop park over 2025.

It was great to see so many campers enjoying what we had in place for the beach hop.

Everyone was so good onsite and left the reserve spotless.

It was the best Beach hop yet.

This video only taken on Wednesday when the hop started.

We still had more arriving on Friday.

Some of you passing through Taupo might of seen the new bridge under construction at the patrol bridge north of the town center.

This will be for those who are over three and a half tone only weight or are on a COF.

Expected completion is still 1st April 2026.

This is when the $2.00 fee per unit will apply to help pay for it.

Beach Hop 2025.

What a event this has been, it just keeps getting better and better.

To all the locals and businesses that catered for this, we have only experienced outstanding friendly service at times when we know you were under the pump.

This town sure gets behind this great event, and we hope it only keeps going for people to keep coming and enjoy what it has to offer.

Big shout out to all the campers who have come and stayed at our beach hop park over in 2025.

Everyone has been so respectful of others and great to have so many social happy campers staying at the best park over at the hop.

Next year will be our 10th park over and we will be holding a best site display also, so add those lights and make your site stand out and you could win the prize we will have in place.
