We’ve got great jobs available in both Auckland and Wellington and would love to hear from people who have experience in the live events or theatre industry.

Our Logistics and Inventory jobs will suit somebody who knows their way around lighting, rigging and electrical equipment, is super organised, and can work to deadlines.

Our Projects Co-Ordinator job will suit somebody who is well connected in the industry, highly organised and knows exactly what it takes to bring a show or event together behind the scenes.

And we also have Lighting/Project Technician roles available.

Big shout out to the team involved in this event for Wellington City Council

Big shout out to Alex Fisher and team at MJF Lighting Limited who helped us create the Gardens Gallery, on at Botanic Garden ki Paekākā until 30 January.

Alex says “There have been many silver linings from having to replace the evening concerts and light show with a daytime open-air exhibition.

It was designed to go ahead under any traffic light setting. It’s great that people can still enjoy it now we are in Red, and that everyone involved still has work - although very different roles than usual.

We came to the party as ‘MJF (not just) Lighting’ and it was exciting finding new ways to use our skills and equipment that traditionally needs darkness. The challenge of it needing to look great in full sunlight has been rewarding for us.

We love seeing the smiles and delighted reactions from all ages having a wonderful experience.”

As 2021 starts to come to a close, another year to remember of ups and downs, we would like to wish all of our staff, friends, crew, freelancers, clients and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
