We are continuing our video series from our 2025 Stampede Tour in Canada. On the way to Edmonton we visited Drumheller which is known as the Dinosaur Capitol of the world with a visit to the world-class Royal Tyrrell Museum & the world's Largest Dinosaur sculpture.

The Reynolds Transport Museum features over 500 vehicles, aircraft, and agricultural machines and well worth a visit.

In Edmonton we spent the day at the Edmonton Mall which was once the largest shopping mall with an indoor wave beach, ice skating rink and pirate ship plus our traditional tour go kart challenge.

Our grand hotel is located high above the riverbanks in downtown Edmonton. We then returned to the Rockies with our lodging for the night at the Saskatchewan Crossing surrounded by towering mountains.

We are EXCITED to announce our new EAST COASTER tour of Canada next year!

Get ready for one of the most spectacular road trips on the planet.

This unforgettable Canadian tour takes you deep into the heart of Eastern Canada, combining vibrant cities, dramatic coastlines, rich history and mouth-watering food — all experienced the way it should be: on the open road.

Tour Highlights Include Canada’s Great Cities
We explore the energy and elegance of Toronto, the French flair of Montreal, and the national treasures of Ottawa, Canada’s capital. From there, we journey east into the storybook streets of historic Quebec City and on to the maritime charm of Nova Scotia.

Scenic Drives You’ll Never Forget
Travel some of the most beautiful coastal highways in North America, following the St Lawrence River and the rugged North Atlantic coast. Expect colourful fishing villages, endless ocean views, and more lighthouses than you can count. A true standout is the legendary Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island — widely regarded as one of the most scenic drives in North America.

Food Lovers, This One’s For You
Indulge in exceptional French and seafood cuisine, with visits to both the Scallop Capital and the Lobster Capital of the world. Think fresh-from-the-ocean flavours, local specialties, and unforgettable dining experiences.

Iconic Sights & Quirky World Records
We tick off some of the world’s biggest and best — including the biggest axe, fiddle, lobster, log cabin, and the longest covered bridge. We also experience the natural wonder of the Bay of Fundy, home to the world’s highest tides, rising to over 50 feet.

Culture, Cars & Local Flavour
Car enthusiasts will love visits to car shows and automotive museums, while culture lovers will enjoy world-class museums, galleries, and botanical gardens that showcase Canada’s diverse heritage. We’ll wander fresh local markets and stop at hand-picked distilleries and breweries to sample the region’s best.

Day 33 - Vancouver, Canada

As our first ever Northern Lights tour comes to an end we had a day to relax in Vancouver for some last minute sight seeing, shopping and packing.

Plus we had farewell drinks on the Hotel rooftop patio (thanks Steve & Julie!) and yummy dinner & excellent service at the Showcase Restaurant.

Day 32 - Fairbanks, Alaska to Vancouver, Canada

An early start for those who were keen try and view the Northern Lights from our Hotel in Fairbanks early this morning. We could see them with the naked eye but they stood out through the camera lens. More greens again this time.

We then flew from Fairbanks across Alaska to Seattle with stunning views over the mountains plus the inside passage past Juneau & Ketchikan where we were last week on the cruise ship.

After a 45 minute stop over in Seattle we were back in Vancouver in no time with a very short flight.

We're now back at our Hotel in downtown Vancouver for the final 2 nights where we were 2 weeks ago.

Day 31 - Denali to Fairbanks, Alaska

Our day started VERY early in our quest to see the Northern Lights and we saw them in the early hours of the morning. They change so quickly and were clearly visible from the naked eye event though the conditions weren't the best. The colours varied from brilliant red, green and white - the sky is pitch black apart from these areas.

We then boarded the bus to Fairbanks with a rest stop along the way which had a few interesting things to look at.

Once in Fairbanks we took a 2 hour paddle boat ride down the river which was very informative with great commentary. From beautiful river front homes to float plane take offs and landings then a traditional native Fish Camp village where we were shown how the indigenous people have lived in this area for tens of thousands of year. The descendants making the presentations were really entertaining we learnt a lot.

The Hotel for our last night in Alaska is right on the riverfront in Fairbanks so we enjoyed a few drinks on the deck before dinner.
