The final part of our "Reckie Tour" ends at the start! Does that make sense???

The 2027 East Coaster Tour will actually start in Toronto however we left it to the end of our Reckie....

Toronto is a city with a vibrant waterfront and we checked out the local attractions.

We can't wait to take this tour next year and super excited - LET'S DO THIS!!!

We made our way towards the National capital Ottawa taking the scenic route as usual. We spotted both the Bell Helicopters & Air Bus assembly plants along the way.

We’d heard about the Chateau Fairmont Hotel in Montebello but OH WOW! It was amazing so we decided to enjoy lunch there to soak up the atmosphere.

Ottawa is the nations capital with lots of history and gothic architecture. The vibrant Byward Market area is a lot of fun with busy restaurants and bars.

Ottawa is a great place to visit with lots to see and do!

Our first stop this morning was in the town of Beaupre which was a pleasant surprise with lots to see including a Basilica and the Cyclorama.

We then popped in to check out a Go Kart track - WOW! This is the best we've seen with a couple of bars, great viewing platforms and even a swimming pool.

We took the scenic route 138 all the way to Trois-Rivières which is one of the oldest French cities in Quebec. Lots of busy restaurants and bars on the St Lawrence river waterfront. A great place to visit!

We are now on the northern side of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec and this morning we started making our way west. The change in scenery has been dramatic compared to what we’ve seen so far on the tour with mountains, beautiful lakes, rivers and of course the coastline.

While exploring a small coastal town we were at a lookout for the view over a bay when we heard a loud blowing noise - below us was a large Humpback Whale! We watched it surface a few times then it did a deep dive and lifted its tail out of the water. We stopped at a Whale Interpretation Centre and showed them our photo of the tail - it was Gasper - they recognised the markings on the tail.

We looked for Beluga whales as well but didn’t spot any today.

We stumbled across an incredible Antique store in the middle of nowhere with so many treasures to look at.

Our destination tonight was Baie St Paul which is a very cute village with lots of restaurants etc. We can’t wait to bring the tour group here next year.

Our main goal today was to make it in time to catch a Ferry - and we made it no problem!

A cruisy start to the day leaving Bathurst we crossed over into Quebec and put our clocks back 1 hour. The drive was beautiful following the river through bush covered mountains.

We stopped to take the short but very steep walk up a hill to the amazing look out Belvedere des Deux Rivières at Matapedia. This is an architectural masterpiece and worth the effort.

Along the way we stopped at the Heppell covered bridge built in 1909 then to Matane to catch the car ferry across the St Lawrence River to Baie Commeau. The ferry ride to just over 2 hours and was a very smooth sailing.

We are spending tonight in Baie Commeau then will be making our way West back to Toronto on the northern side of the St Lawrence River over the next 6 days.

Today had a bit of a car theme as we made our way from Moncton to Bathurst, New Brunswick.

We love what we do and the surprise connections we make along the way. We had seen AJM Classics online but didn’t know what to expect. Businessman Arnold set it up with an impressive workshop to build cars for himself & customers.

We met Gilbert who gave us a tour where everything is done in house - fabrication, paint, upholstery etc.

Gilbert then took us to the showroom which was packed full of quality cars owned by Arnold - all are for sale. An impressive place!

Magnetic Hill is an optical illusion where it feels like your car is rolling backwards up hill when you put it in neutral! It’s a very weird feeling but fun.

As we made our way north towards Bathurst we took the scenic route following the Arcadian Parkway where we stumbled across Moe & Angela’s nostalgia collection - more great people we can’t wait to meet again with the tour group next year.

Our day was spent exploring PEI and started with a trip to the lighthouse at East Cape where we spotted the resident red fox.

Taking the coastal back roads we hit downtown Charlottetown which is the hub of the Island. There is a boardwalk along the harbour front and vibrant old downtown area with lots of restaurants & bars along Victoria Row.

We made a visit to the Basilica before leaving town and headed to the Cavendish area which is a real tourist spot. We learnt about LM Montgomery who was the author of Anne of Green Gables and many other novels at the national monument for her and even walked through the house.

The area is also home to COWS Creamery which is the best icecream in Canada so naturally we had to share one.

Departing the island we stopped at the small Cars & Life museum, and Victoria By The Sea before crossing the 13.9km long Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick.

We spent the night in Shediack which is the Lobster Capital Of The World so naturally we had to try one for dinner…
