Had a visit this beautiful Sunday morning by Fred Hohepa, after yarning for a bit, he shared with me the his creation of a traditional putatara (conch shell). Back in the day before cell phones & cars, these were used as an intergral part of communication links between tribes. He was happy I put up a post for everyone to experience. Fred also makes other musical instruments like flutes and is also a tattoo artist.
