We offer full adventure: trekking, climbing trees, camping, bird watching and jungle exploration. Our guides have lived all their lives in the jungle and know everything about its distinctive plants, animals and culture.
โOur first objective is our commitment to the ENVIRONMENT. As a Manu Park Tour Operator, we feel that it is our responsibility to keep Peru pristine and beautiful for future generations. On our tours, we do everything we can to ensure we leave as little impact as possible. We educate our tourists to be respectful of the JUNGLE. We don't leave any trash in the jungle, instead it is collected and bright back to Cusco to be disposed of properly. As much as possible, we use recyclable, reuseable, environmentally friendly products and solar panel electricity in our lodges.
We are also cleaning up Pilcopata Road and Alto Madre de Dios River. As you can imagine, with hundreds of tourists and locals traveling to the jungle every day the routes can end up pretty dirty over the course of the year. Although we do our part of taking all our garbage with us, not every agency nor tour guide is as as conscientious, so we take the extra step of organizing clean up tours during the off-season and high season. Working with a team of nature lovers, it doesn't take long to collect bags of plastic bottles and garbage,returning the trekking routes to the condition you expect them to be in. It's a small thing but every little bit helps.
Our second objective is to give you a REAL JUNGLE EXPERIENCE, something different from all the other trips in Manu, something authentic. To achieve this, we camp using tents and hammocks in all our trips so that you are close to nature.
We also have our own eco-lodges: Rainforest Lodge in the Cloud Forest and Bonanza Lodge in the Bonanza Ecological Reserve. Services available include: bungalows (single/double), dining room, kitchen, toilets, showers, trekking trails and a bar. In these lodges you will enjoy a phenomenal stay close to nature.
We are four bothers and a sister, all of us professional bilingual guides for the Manu National Park. We employ a team of local professionals who will be your guides for the duration of your trip. Your team will consist of a bilingual tour guide, chef, and very experienced boat and bus drivers. All our staff is aware of the importance of our objectives, and will strive to keep you informed, safe, and well-fed.
โOur Third objective is our commitment to the COMMUNITIES. Our goal is to collaborate with Natives communities to overcome economic and social challenges through a working partnership that directs resources toward sustainable projects. Special focus is given to support our kids and their educational endeavors.
Bonanza Tours is based in Cusco, Peru. The company is run by Huamani Family, all of whom started as boat drivers, chefs, and assistent tour guides in the jungle, We all came from the jungle, where we had a difficult life growing up. After our studies, Ryse created this company to give something back to his community and other local villages. Since Bonanza Tours Peru has been open, we have done many social projects to benefit people of the jungle, as well as practicing sustainable tourism. In addition, we also take good care of the boat drivers, assistant boat drivers, cooks and everyone who works for our company. We pay them above average wages, supply them with health and life insurance, and always respect the state and national laws. We help the many indigenous communities where our drivers and assistants live, especially assisting with the childrens' needs. We provide hygienic supplies, organize bringing doctors with different specialties to the jungle, and have delivered a full library and other educational necessities. We have even brought teachers to their schools.
It would be hard for us to give back to the community without the help of our clients, who trust us to take them on their journeys. We donโt just provide great services, but we also send your money to support our social projects, for the benefit comunnities and its children. โOur trips consist of a private overland bus which takes us through the Sacred Valley, over the Andes and into the Cloud and Rain Forests. We travel in a comfortable motorized boat along the Alto Madre de Dios and the Madre de Dios Rivers. We run our expeditions into private areas and pristine jungle in the Bonanza Ecological Reserve, in the Cultural Zone of Manu, and the Reserve Zone of Manu National Park.
โOur expeditions / tours are extremely flexible, and can be adapted according to the wishes of the client and their physical fitness. Our trips range from 4 to 8 days but can be extended if requested. So we offer tours CUSTOM-MADE to your particular needs and interests.
