A few days ago, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Tambopata National Reserve, exploring the largest macaw clay lick in the world, surrounded by wild nature and thousands of colors deep in the Peruvian Amazon. Watching macaws and parrots in their natural habitat is truly a unique and unforgettable experience for any wildlife and bird lover.
After this amazing adventure, I took a flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima, and then continued to Chiclayo, where I will begin an exciting 10-day birding tour across northern Peru. New species, breathtaking landscapes, and many adventures are waiting for us on this new birdwatching journey.
Peru continues to show why it is one of the best birdwatching destinations in the world.

A few days ago, we participated in the Global Big Day together with the Lago Soledad team. We completed a 9 km walk through the Amazon trails searching for birds and enjoying the incredible nature of this wonderful place. Lago Soledad continues to be one of my favorite places because of its peaceful atmosphere and amazing bird diversity. .floresraymondi

Even though today is my birthday, I’m still on the road with a group of passionate birdwatchers. Life in the field doesn’t stop, and that’s exactly what makes this experience so special. Every day on the road is an opportunity to learn, share, and connect with the incredible biodiversity of Peru. always very grateful to my great friend Daniel, who is once again visiting the Tambopata National Reserve with his friends after one year. It is truly a pleasure to share this experience with him again, as over time we have built a strong trust and friendship, which also extends to his wife, something I deeply value.
Each visit represents a new opportunity to enjoy unforgettable moments in the heart of the Amazon, appreciating the richness of nature and everything this amazing destination has to offer. I am very happy to accompany them once again on this adventure, guiding them and sharing our passion for wildlife and birdwatching.

It was truly a joy and a pleasure to meet you again and talk about our 15-day tour. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, we will have to postpone it until April 2027, on the same dates.
From the bottom of my heart, I hope you take very good care of yourself and recover soon. This moment with you was very special to me.
I keep such beautiful memories from our trip in 2025… it was truly unforgettable. But I am sure that in 2027 we will experience something even more special. We will also fulfill that great dream of going to Brazil in search of the majestic Harpy Eagle, which will always be one of our biggest dreams.
