You don’t need to spend much time here but if you take a trip along the coastline you’ll come across La Marina Lighthouse which is still active today. In fact it’s one of the famous and visited lighthouses in the country.

Welcome to the capital of Peru, Lima!
Like most capital cities there is so much to do with so little time to see it in.
Our first stop was along the coastline near Miraflores, with this area of Lima being popular for its bars, restaurants, shopping centres, hotels and nightclubs.
For us it was fun to walk through, but the waves hitting the coastline was our highlight.

Sadly some companies did not treat their donkeys well at all and we even came across one that had been injured and was sadly left.

This is a 50km hike over 3/4 days and can either be done independently or with a group. For us we opted for doing this trek with a group.
