In line with the directive of Municipal Mayor Lilibeth “Ybing” J. Salarda, MPA, the Tourism Operations Office, in coordination with the Municipal Mayor’s Office, held a preparatory meeting on July 2, 2025, at the Mayor’s Office Conference Room. The meeting was organized ahead of the upcoming Executive Committee (Execom) meeting for the Kasadyaan Festival 2025 and Alabel’s 54th Foundation Anniversary this September.

Discussions focused on finalizing the lineup of activities, ensuring smooth implementation, and addressing other related concerns. The involved offices aim to deliver a successful and well-organized celebration that highlights Alabel’s rich culture and continued progress.

The national government has declared Wednesday, April 9, 2025, as a regular holiday across the country in observance of Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) through Presidential Proclamation No. 727, s. 2024.

This annual commemoration honors the bravery of Filipino and American soldiers who fought during the fall of Bataan in World War II. Work and office operations will resume on April 10, 2025 (Thursday).

ALABEL MUNICIPAL TOURISM OPERATIONS OFFICE

The Alabel Municipal Tourism Operations Office (MTOO) is set to spearhead a Tourism Inventory and Basic Tourism Statistics Training for identified and registered tourism establishments in the municipality for Calendar Year 2025.

This initiative aims to enhance the collection and management of tourism data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting key statistics vital to sustainable tourism development. The training will also include the proper inventory of local tourism assets, paving the way for better planning and promotion of Alabel as a prime destination in Sarangani Province.

Tourism establishments, such as resorts, accommodations, restaurants, and tour operators, are highly encouraged to participate as this effort will help align local tourism operations with regional and national standards.
