Re: Tourists who are allowed in Boracay

As of this writing, only tourists from MGCQ coming outside the NCR+, Cebu, and Davao are allowed until April 19. Onwards, we are awaiting for the new travel guidelines. Hoping for ease in travel restrictions when the National Capital Region declares GCQ.

FYI - The island is under the management of "Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force" or BIATF and under the Provincial Office of Aklan who runs [email protected], the Validating Office who provides QR for Boracay travellers.

This office - The Malay Tourism, is an implementing body, NOT a regulating agency. Whatever guidelines this office shares are taken from the mandates given by the authorities, not made by us.

In addition, Boracay generally depends on tourism. The island needs tourists to economically survive. Tourists means business to Boracay. It is an apparent necessity. The island is desperate to welcome the tourists once again when it's already safe to travel.

Re: Travel To Boracay

Boracay accepts tourists coming from MGCQ areas (outside April 13-19) as there is an inbound travel suspension in the whole Western Visayas (including Aklan) on the said dates.

For QR and travel approval (outside those dates), please refer to Aklan Province's Validating Office through [email protected]
