I am sharing in the video the intricate process of making the Rose Oil Perfume from the Rose Flowers.
TRIVIA:
10,000 – 15,000 Rose flowers are needed to produce 10 ml of rose oil perfume - 10 ml
Rose Oil costs 1,600.00 Saudi Riyals ($426.66) –
- It takes three hours to build the rose flowers with 75 ltr of water to produce 10 ml of rose oil.
- The whole boiling and steaming process lasts 5 – 8 hours to create the 10 ml rose oil.
TO SUM UP THE PROCESS OF MAKING ROSE OIL PERFUME:
1. Flowers should be picked early in the morning, fresh and in bloom
2. From the garden, it is brought directly to the processing area.
3. Weighing of flowers—The flowers are weighed to get a uniform weight of 8.8 kilos. 8.8 Kilos is equivalent to 10 – 15 thousand flowers, depending on the size.
4. It is put inside the boiling vessel, and 75 liters of water
5. Boil them until the water steams through the pipe for 5 – 8 hours until the vessel is drained of liquid in continuous boiling.
6. The oil stays on the water surface and flows from the pipe.
7. The oils are separated from the steam water using a syringe
8. The oil produced from the 8.8 kilos of flowers is 10ml only.
The oil is now the raw ingredient of perfume; you can now use it as perfume.
9. The 10 ml rose oil costs $426.00, factory price. The price varies depending on the factory's pricing
