Honestly, we're still trying to wrap our heads around that number.

When we started Sugbo Summit Seekers, we never imagined that thousands of people would one day be following our journey. What began as a love for the mountains has grown into a community of people who share the same passion for adventure, nature, and the outdoors.

To everyone who joined our hikes, trusted us with your weekends, shared our posts, recommended us to your friends, and supported us along the way, thank you.

Every trail we've walked and every summit we've reached has been more meaningful because of the people we've met through this community.

Deep in the forests of Tres Marias, Biliran, nature reveals one of its most magical secrets: Foxfire.

On dark and humid nights, certain fungi growing on decaying wood emit a soft greenish-blue glow, creating an almost otherworldly scene along the trail. This natural bioluminescence, known as Foxfire, is caused by a chemical reaction within the fungus and has fascinated explorers, scientists, and hikers for centuries.

Witnessing Foxfire in the wild reminds us that the forest comes alive in ways we often overlook. Hidden among the trees of Tres Marias, these tiny lights add to the mountain's mystery and beauty, making every step through the forest feel like walking through a living fairytale.

Tres Marias: An Unforgettable Climb

You should never underestimate a mountain.

Those were the words I kept reminding myself while taking my first steps toward Peak 1 of the Tres Marias Climb. I came into this adventure not knowing what to expect, but I was immediately humbled by the trail. The climb was more challenging than I imagined, testing not only my strength but also my patience and determination.

But despite the difficulty, every step was worth it.

Every steep ascent, every tiring moment, and every pause to catch my breath came with a beautiful reward, the feeling of being surrounded by nature at its purest.

Tres Marias was never part of our original bucket list. It was a place we never planned to conquer, but sometimes the mountains we least expect become the ones we remember the most. After experiencing its beauty, we knew we wanted others to witness what we saw.

The forest of Tres Marias is truly alive.

Behind its breathtaking landscapes is a story of conservation and dedication. Thanks to the Mamanwa Tribe and the local government who continue to protect and preserve this precious forest, every corner remains full of life. The sounds of nature, the untouched greenery, and the rich biodiversity remind us of how important it is to respect and protect our mountains.

This climb was more than just reaching the summit. It was a reminder that mountains have stories to tell, stories of resilience, culture, and the people who dedicate their lives to keeping them alive.

Tres Marias is not just a climb. It is an experience, a connection, and a memory that will stay with us forever.
