On the 3rd day of May 2025, the third-year ๐๐๐๐ students attended the โ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒโ lecture held at Albert Van Gansewinkel Hall on the University of San Carlos Main Campus.
The event focused on the fundamentals of stress management, managing difficult guest interactions, and developing strong guest connections and vital skills for a successful hospitality career. Participants of the event were encourage to express themselves by wearing colors that indicate how they feel inspired by the movie Inside Out.
The first speaker, ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐จ๐ง๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐ discussed โ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก- ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ,โ and presented three components: ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, which served as a guide and a reminder to become a better example in the industry.
Ms. Abracia also discussed the initials CRO which stands for โ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ซโ and discussed further how resilience has power before concluding with her new mantra, โAlways look for a brighter side to ๐น๐๐๐ & ๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ (Reflect, Overcome, Learn, Live)โ.
Meanwhile, the second speaker, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ง ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ talked about โ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐โ in three categories: ๐ท๐ฌ๐น๐ด๐จ-๐ฝ ๐ด๐๐

๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. He discussed that each gives a direction to understand, learn, and reflect in different areas of lives that need to be addressed and work on in reality, highlighting his point to not just thrive but also flourish.
This insightful seminar provided tourism students with valuable insights in dealing and handling complaints as well evaluating their well-being to overcome challenges.
