JUST NOW: Megaworld to build a three-level lifestyle mall called Plaza Magellan, which will be connected to the historic Mactan Shrine; and five hotels that will provide an additional 2,000 hotel rooms for Cebu.

PROJECT UPDATE: Soon to rise at The Mactan Newtown is a school that will be supervised by the Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO). Covering an area of 7,000 sqm, THE NEWTOWN SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE will be a multi-level building with state-of-the-art facilities such as laboratories, audio visual room, library, open and covered courts and other educational facilities. It is set to open its school year on 2016-2017, initially for the primary level.

Megaworld has topped off its second office building, Two World Center, in the 28.8-hectare The Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The PEZA-accredited Two World Center is a six-storey office tower that covers more than 7,000 square meters of office spaces with a capacity of around 2,500 employees. The tower is expected to be operational by June this year.
