This is Jamel Binaton. He is one of the loom weavers of Pigcawayan, North Cotabato. He makes patadyong fabrics and he’s really good at it. He said he learned to weave when he was younger using indigenous materials and weaves faster using their traditional methods. He is among those trained by TESDA in loom weaving. He weaves 2-3 meters of patadyong a day. His desire is to see Manobo designs integrated into the fabric they weave and see it in display. If you want to support Jamel and other Manobo weavers, you can buy their woven fabrics at P350/meter.
