🇸🇬🐉 The Singapore Dragon Boat Team had a meaningful tour around the Municipality of Leganes! 🌿✨
Their journey started with a courtesy visit at the Office of the Mayor, followed by a stop at the Shrine of St. Vincent Ferrer, where they experienced the traditional palapak 🙏. They also supported our local economy by bringing home souvenir products proudly made in Leganes 🛍️.

The Leganes National High School warmly welcomed them with a sumptuous lunch and a vibrant cultural performance 🎶💃. The visit concluded at the Leganes Integrated Katunggan Eco-Park, where our best practices in mangrove protection and conservation were proudly showcased 🌊🌱.

Truly, a day of culture, faith, nature, and friendship in Leganes! 💙

Dragon Boat Club from Leganes, Iloilo Province, Philippines.

Most of the members of Leganes Dragons are students of Leganes National High School.
Leganes town has a wide river and picturesque coastal area that offers a variety of water sports, such as the Biray Paraw and the dragon boat sports.

Catch them live as they glide for Fun Fitness Fellowship Dragon Boat Race of the
2nd Iloilo City Charter Day Dragon Boat Regatta on August 22 – 23, 2025 at Iloilo River and the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand.

In its second year, Iloilo City Charter Day Dragon Boat Regatta is a celebration of cheers and thanksgiving and to rekindle the spirit of oneness and perseverance of Ilonggos. This event is also for the benefit of the youth as an advocate of sportsmanship and fitness and at the same time promoting Iloilo City as always the place to be.

MV Hechanova, Leganes recognized by the DOT 6 as one of the most number of Same Day Tourists for 2024..thank you to the staff for your monthly submission of Tourist Arrival. The announcement was made last August 13, 2025 at Gateway Hotel in Pavia, Iloilo.

Some 70 delegates from various East Asian countries visited the Leganes Katunggan Eco Park as part of their learning and exposure program. The group is composed of members of the United Nations Programme Coordinating Body on the Seas of East Asia (COBSEA), an intergovernmental organization that promotes sustainable management and protection of the coastal and marine environment in the region.

During their visit, the delegates explored our award-winning mangrove forest—recognized for its exemplary conservation efforts and community-based management approach. The activity aimed to share best practices in mangrove preservation, climate change mitigation, and biodiversity protection, while also highlighting Leganes’ role as a model for eco-tourism and environmental stewardship in the Philippines.
