Albay is currently under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2—meaning winds of 39–61 km/h may be expected within 36 hours.

There is also a high risk of life-threatening storm surge (peak heights exceeding 3 m) for coastal/exposed communities in Albay in the next ~48 hours.

The highest wind signal that may be hoisted later is TCWS No. 5 (winds ≥ 185 km/h) depending on how the system intensifies and tracks.

TINO is currently estimated with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the centre and gusts up to 135 km/h.

The storm is moving west-southwestward at about 30 km/h.

Wind Signal status:

Signal No. 2 is hoisted for parts of Visayas and Mindanao (central/southern Eastern Samar, parts of Samar, Leyte, Biliran, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte/Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte) with expected winds of 62-88 km/h.

Signal No. 1 is hoisted for other nearby provinces such as Sorsogon, Masbate, southern Albay, some islands (Romblon, Mindoro), and more, with expected winds of 39-61 km/h.

Aside from wind, there is a high risk of storm surge in low-lying coastal communities in the affected regions.

Ganap nang bagyo ang Low Pressure Area sa Silangan ng Luzon na tinatawag ngayong Tropical Depression

Huling namataan sa monitoring ng PAGASA ang mata ng bagyo sa layong 1,145 km mula sa Luzon landmass.

Nakataas naman ang storm signal warning sa ilang probinsya sa Luzon at Visayas.

🌀 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 "𝗣𝗔𝗢𝗟𝗢" 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮, 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆.

📌 As of 8:00 AM today, LPA 93W over the Philippine Sea has developed into a Tropical Depression (TD).

• The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has likewise upgraded it into a TD. Once it strengthens into a Tropical Storm (TS), it will take the international name “𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗢,” which means “heavy rain” in the Chamorro language of Guam/Marianas.

🗺️ According to JMA’s & PAGASA's initial track forecasts, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗗 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗮–𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮–𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗯𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 (𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯).
